Univar, a distributor of industrial and specialty chemicals, is set to launch new formulas, products, and tools for food and beverages, which can help in texture modification and healthy reduction.

The company plans to showcase these products at IFT Annual Meeting and Food Expo, which is being held from 25-28 June at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, US.

Univar will showcase the latest in texture modification and healthy reduction with samples of a low sugar energy drink, Twist'n, and an indulgent snack bar, Crave.

According to Univar, the Crave bar is low in fat and sugar while maintaining the indulgent texture of a high-fat snack bar, while the Twist'n low-sugar tropical energy drink is fortified with fiber and natural caffeine and is naturally sweetened while offering intense fruit flavor and the refreshing taste consumers expect.

In addition, the company has created two new formulation tools in a new video format, which will offer the food and beverage formulators with new ideas to identify the best combination of ingredients.
