Nexira, a provider of natural ingredients for the food and health industries, is planning to launch its products: Fibergum Crystal - a probiotic fibre, and Oli-Ola - a natural origin olive extract.

According to the company, Fibregum Crystal is a new range of 100% acacia gum, which allows fiber enrichment of clear beverages and functional foods.

Tasteless and odorless, Fibregum Crystal offers transparency, as well as lower turbidity compared to other sources of natural soluble fiber.

Oli-Ola is an olive extract with 3% of hydroxytyrosol, a major phenolic compound naturally occurring in olive fruit. According to the company, the potent antioxidant properties of hydroxytyrosol have been demonstrated in various food products: beverage, meat, margarine and mayonnaise.

Oli-Ola is water soluble and suitable for functional food and dietary supplements. It is an all-natural ingredient from organic olives, is solvent free and without any pesticide residues, the company noted.

The company plans to launch the new products at IFT 2012, which is being held at Las Vegas, Nevada, US, from 25 to 28 June 2012.
