Oils and fats supplier IOI Loders Croklaan has appointed Patrick Cobussen as its new European sales director. Cobussen succeeds Roald Hulst, who has taken up the position of global sales and marketing director within the IOI Loders Croklaan Group.

“Every day, products made with our fats and oils are consumed by millions of people in Europe,” said Corbussen. “Offering the manufacturers of these products the best service experience via the integrated sales of bulk and specialty products from our Rotterdam and Wormerveer plants will be the focus for my first year. Our segment experts will be focused on developing opportunities for mutual growth by partnering with our customers.”

Corbussen went on to note that todays’ challenging market remains to offer growth opportunities for companies with the right attitude towards innovation and sustainability.

“Innovation is about new products and about new ways of doing business,” he continued. “By creating these innovations together with our customers, we increase the success of all parties involved,” he continued, adding that the growing importance of supporting customers with risk management tools to optimize buying decisions in the volatile market for vegetable fats and oils. “We will continue to develop our position as the expert on our main commodities ensuring our customers access to the best possible market information.”

In his role as sales director Europe, Cobussen will report to Dr. Loek Favre, chief operating officer of IOI Loders Croklaan Europe. Cobussen has been with Loders Croklaan since 2004, most recently as unit manager for European specialty sales.
